June 11th is National Mojito Day
National Mojito Day, we’re not totally convinced that this is a real thing, but we do LOVE mojitos and we’ll take any excuse to drink them, so we’re happy to go along with this one. In honor of the “holiday” our friends over at the Hard Rock Cafe New York sent us a few delicious sounding recipes they cooked up for the special occasion. Generally we like to stick with a traditional mojito, but these 3 recipes sounded so tasty that we’ve decided to share them with our readers.
And because there are so many delicious Mojitos to be found in this amazing city we call home, here are 3 places we go in NYC for our favorite mojitos:
Guantanamera at 939 8th Ave: This Cuban restaurant located in Hell’s Kitchen serves of one the best mojitos around and on Tuesdays they have a $5 Mojito Madness that lasts all night.
Cafe Habana at 17 Prince St.: Located in the Soho neighborhood, this Cuban/Mexican cafe is a great place to stop for both the mojitos and the delicious food.
Havana Alma de Cuba at 94 Christopher St.: Located in the heart of the West Village, you will love the mojitos at this amazing Cuban inspired restaurant.
