Who am I?
My name is Termeh Mazhari and I’m a social media publicist at AMP3 Public Relations, a boutique lifestyle and entertainment PR firm in New York City. Before doing PR, I worked for a film production company and contributed to numerous Philadelphia publications as a freelance writer (and photographer).
In my spare time, I like going to the movies, eating good food, and watching videos of fat cats on YouTube. But most of all, I enjoy exploring my new home, New York City.
What is New York Buzz about?
New York Buzz is a perso-professional blog that reaches out to New Yorkers who want to hear about cool new happenings in their city (and beyond). It’s not just another one-way PR vehicle aimed at endorsing our clients or their products. Yes, New York Buzz will feature AMP3 PR’s latest news and events, but it’s also about getting in touch with people I’ve connected with, or our clients have connected with. Attended one of our music clients’ gigs? Then tell us what you thought! I want to hear from YOU.
In September 2008, I decided to follow a friend’s advice and open up my blog to non-clients. Now, anyone who has a cool New York event they want to promote can just shoot me an email and I’ll consider featuring it on my blog! I’m also always on the lookout for interesting New Yorkers to interview - so if you know anyone, send them my way!
Who is it for?
New York Buzz is about creating a two-way dialogue between AMP3 PR and journalists, bloggers, readers, and clients. But it’s also for people who wanna hear about fun and interesting new stuff that’s going on in their city, like the latest swoon-worthy crooner to hit the jazz scene, or a sassy NYC salon owner who holds empowerment seminars for women.
