Pushing Daisies Comes to the Big Apple

A month ago, Kevin Dugan suggested that I open up my blog to other PR bloggers who might want to promote their client’s news on New York Buzz. Well, today, I’m officially announcing that I will accept your pitches. So if you’ve got a cool event in New York City you want to promote, my inbox will welcome you. Those who write FREE FOOD in the subject line will receive a particularly warm response 😉

And to kick off this new start, I’d like to tell you all about an event that’s happening in the Big Apple next week that you should RUN, not walk, to:

On Monday, September 29, ABC will be promoting the second season of “Pushing Daisies” by building a mini replica of Ned’s Bakery, The Pie Hole, in Times Square.

The press release, which Miguel Cancino brought to my attention, states that “Guests will be able to enjoy free pie and the company of an outgoing restaurant staff, all while experiencing charming décor from the show’s set. (…) In addition, “Pushing Daisies” footage will play on plasma televisions on site, and waitresses on whimsically decorated daisy bicycles will direct people to the restaurant prior to the event.”

Miguel: You had me at free pie.

And FYI, my office is located at 928 Broadway (Suite 801) – in case you don’t know what to do with the leftover pies…
