Francisca Bastos Debuts New Jewelry Collection in SoHo Tomorrow Night
“I’m fortunate to have some very important pieces of jewelry. I don’t believe I own any of the pieces. I believe that I am their custodian, here to enjoy them, to give them the best treatment in the world, to watch after their safety, and to love them.”
– Elizabeth Taylor
Tomorrow night, you can find me at the Marisa Perry Atelier in SoHo where Francisca Bastos will be debuting her new collection of hand-crafted jewels – including the exclusive medal for Prince Albert II of Monaco commissioned by UN Goodwill Ambassador Marjorie Andrade.
Bastos’ creations are famous for combining 18 carat gold with precious gemstones from her native Brazil and turning them into intricately detailed works of art.
And tomorrow night, jewelry collectors will be invited to the Marisa Perry Atelier to view the hitherto unseen medal she designed for Prince Albert. This will be the only opportunity for the general public to view the piece before Marjorie Andrade presents the handcrafted medal at the Princess Grace awards gala scheduled for the following evening, October 15th.
Guests at tomorrow night’s exhibit will also be the first to purchase Francisca’s fall collection.
Most of us won’t be able to afford one of Bastos’ stunning pieces – but, in the words of Elizabeth Taylor, we can certainly “watch after their safety” – if only for one night.
