The Cronut: Not Just A Fad

Dominique Ansel has been making cronuts (his croissant-doughnut hybrid) at his bakery since May, and you would think the cronut food fad would have passed by now, but it’s not even close to over.  As of last Friday, August 2nd, the line for cronuts is only getting longer.

Now you can even buy a special t-shirt to support Food Bank for NYC and if you wear it in line to buy your cronut you can buy twice as many, that’s 4 cronuts per person!!! Yes, there is a cap on the number that you can regularly order, and it’s 2 cronuts per person.  Selling out by noon since they were introduced, the website says that if you get there before 6am on a week day, you’ll probably get one

While we here at AMP3 PR don’t quite get the hype, we sure love reading about it, and to each their own. If you want to jump on the Cronut band wagon, just head over to Dominique Ansel Bakery at the crack of dawn to get in line.
