Foster Grant Celebrates 85 Years!
Last night New York Buzz Blog was invited to attend the 85th Anniversary party for sunglass brand Foster Grant. Foster Grant is actually credited with the birth of sunglasses in the U.S., starting with the first pair sold in 1929 on the Atlantic City boardwalk. Foster Grant was also the first company to correlate wearing sunglasses with the idea of “being cool” and in the 1960’s they were worn by celebrities including Elvis Presley, Anthony Quinn, Raquel Welch, and Mia Farrow.
The 85th Anniversary party was held at The Blue Room at the Gansevoort Hotel Park Avenue and was attended by the brands CEO Cesar Melo and latest celebrity face, Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham. The Blue Room itself was decorated with a variety of Foster Grant styles to check out and try on and especially featured their latest Vintage collection which included my favorite style, the Bryn Mawr. Foster Grant sunglasses are made from lightweight, durable materials that are both fashionable and affordably priced.

At the end of the evening, each guest was given a pair of Foster Grant sunglasses to take home.
