Awards season time is just about the only time that we write about something that has nothing to do with NYC. That said, last night was the 2014 MTV VMA’s and we can’t help ourselves but put together a round up of our best and worst dressed of the night.
Best Dressed
Solange in H&M, she never misses a beat when it comes to making sartorial choices.
Joan Smalls in Balmain, this is how you do MTV edgy, the Balmain Army is at it again!
Nicki Minaj in Saint Laurent, I can’t get enough of this new stylish side of Nicki!
Miley Cyrus in Alexandre Vauthier, she’s finally figuring out how to to do high-end edgy without landing on trashy and we’re totally loving it.
Gwen Stefani in L.A.M.B., this woman can do no wrong.
Demi Lovato in Lanvin, she looks amazing and is totally hitting her style stride.
Jessie J in Vintage Halston, a real departure for her, the color and style look gorgeous.
Kesha in Johanna Johnson, we’re so happy to see her looking so beautiful and healthy and happy, she’s practically glowing.
Worst Dressed
Amber Rose in Laurel DeWitt, haven’t we already seen this look on the VMA red carpet? And I don’t remember liking it the first time. Amber, you can do better!
Katy Perry in Denim Versace, I get that this is a joking throwback to Britney & Justin, but is it really that funny? Meh.
Ariana Grande in Moschino, show me something new already Ariana, you sing like an angel but I’m so bored with this outdated look you keep coming back to.
Kim Kardashian in Balmain, this is a beautiful dress and Kim looks gorgeous, but the bionic boobs front in center detract rather then enhance this look.
