Three Awesome Things Happening in NYC this Week

There’s always something happening in New York City no matter the season and this week is no exception; so we compiled a short list of the three most awesome things happening this weekend that involves NYC.

1. The Mets are in the World Series this season and there are PLENTY of game-watching parties at sports bars all over the city. The New York Post and DNAinfo have compiled some of the best Mets’ bars in the city that includes the outer boroughs. Although, we’re willing to bet that any bar with tv’s in the tri-state area is going to have the game on. Mets-take-NL-pennant-860x450_c

2. There’s a new museum in town and for a city that loves food, it was only a matter of time before we made a museum for it. Tomorrow, October 28th, the Museum of Food and Drink will be opening its doors in Brooklyn. The first exhibition will be all about flavor and breaking down what’s “natural” and what’s “artificial”. Tickets are inexpensive and starts at $10 for adults, get yours before they sell out here.

3. The largest marathon in the world, which you might know as the New York Marathon, is this weekend and the energy is palpable. In 2014, the NYCM had over 50,500 finishers, with even more expected this year. If you happen to own a car in New York City, do yourself a favor and don’t drive on Sunday.
